Overview

My understanding of the new Flash rumored to be released October 2008 is that there will be need for keyframes as it will be a new time beam co-ordination – model. This will make things much easier for the newbie to flash. In short what this means is that you will be able to right-click any object on the stage and add a motion or tween shapes directly to that object. This means that tweens won’t be “broken” anymore because they are no longer bound to keyframes. When you move the object to the end state of the tween it will automatically update without changing keyframes. Another bonus is that you can basically draw a line with the PEN tool and the tween will follow the path. Previously this was achieved by creating a path layer which means the new method will save the designer much more time. Another addition is the Transform tool which is used it to transform a tween path.

So what’s the new features

Typed arrays (vectors)
64-bit support
Hydra to use the GPU (if available)
New ‘object-based’ tween model
IK (Inverse Kinematics) Tweens
New ‘object-based’ tween model
Mobile convergence
2880 x 2880 bitmap limit removed
New stage rendering engine
New 3-D features
