Stefan did a really good job on this and best of all is that he is offering cu3ber free of charge. When the page gets loaded, the CU3ER is initiated and first what it will look for is an XML configuration file (optionally .swf font file too, if the defined variable of this file was found). This will be loaded for future use. After loading and parsing XML, the CU3ER configures itself by its defined settings. Then it starts loading images (slides). As soon as the first image is fully loaded, it is displayed and the rest of the images are loaded in the background. Either a 3D transition to the next image is applied after the specific amount of time has passed or the user’s input (mouse click) is “listened” to and an action performed accordingly, depending on the configuration settings. It is as simple as that!.
I want to share a really nice resource on the Adobe site called The Adobe cookbook. Find, share, and comment on code with the developer community. It basically covers most of their apps. Although still in the startup stage, there’s really a lot of helpful code snippets. So head over and start creating some snippets.
I’ve came across free SMS services from time to time, but most of them either don’t work for me or the free service is only applicable to specific region only. Chawt, on the other end here, works just fine! And I have to tell you, it’s really hard to find a free online SMS sending services nowadays.
This free SMS sending services requires you to sign up, and activate the account with your cell phone. Just paste the code sent to your phone on the form, activate it and you are good to go. I’ve tested and my friends received them. The only drawbacks is the fact that every messages come attached with a line of advertisement. Well, for something free I wouldn’t complain too much.
Finally Envato launched this Flash tutorial site in the Tuts part of the ever growing Envato network. Ian Yates will be the editor for FlashTuts so we can expect some decent tutorials. Envato runs quite a huge array of tutorial sites, basically covering the whole of the Adobe Creative Suite. If you are into Flash check out Flashtuts. You can also visit the TutsPlus network to access the rest of their tutorials.
